JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Analytical Chemist will perform analytical testing of in-house products by various analytical techniques, as well as provide technical support to the laboratory team in support of Materion's requirements for customers and the ISO 17025 management system. The Analytical Chemist reports to the Analytical Lab Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Operation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and routine troubleshooting of analytical instruments, including ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and AAS.
+ Work with the Senior Analytical Chemist to qualify, develop, validate, and continuously improve the analytical equipment, test methods, and practices used in the lab to generate high quality and timely test results.
