Position Purpose

The Design Technologist reports to a Distribution Design Supervisor and supports the Design team in creating design estimates and drawing production.

The incumbent communicates with internal and external stakeholders to clarify project scope, schedule, and cost while addressing customer needs.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Create detailed designs of overhead and underground systems, incorporating best utility practices and compliance with applicable standards, laws, codes, and regulations.
• Manage scope, budget, and material requirements for assigned projects, performing necessary calculations and preparing detailed schematics.
