Airport Operations Dispatcher

Position Overview

We have full‑time permanent opportunities for Airport Operations Dispatchers (AOD) in the Airport Operations Department, reporting to the Manager, Operations Centre. To be a successful AOD, you must be comfortable working in a high‑pressure environment while handling significant amounts of information received from a variety of sources simultaneously. Exceptional verbal and written communication are essential for dispatching during emergency events as well as day‑to‑day operations at YVR.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and utilize alarm systems, radios, phones, emails, and social media to dispatch and coordinate operational staff, maintenance, and emergency responders to maintain uninterrupted safety and security on Sea Island.
• Prioritize, delegate, and communicate to colleagues, internal and external department contractors, government agencies and stakeholders.
