Job Description
The **Powertrain – Back Shop Mechanic** performs and inspects aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) and depot maintenance on assigned aircraft systems.
+ Perform maintenance and repair on aircraft sub-system assemblies such as main rotor heads, transmissions, stabilators, and their sub-components.
+ Inspect parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects.
+ Perform component bearing replacement, bushing replacement, and line reaming of bushings.
+ Perform Periodic Maintenance Inspection (PMI) on main rotor heads from UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47 aircraft.
+ Perform Time Before Overhaul (TBO) replacement.
+ Responsible for completion and maintenance of applicable forms and records.
+ Recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
+ Observe all safety, environmental and general housekeeping rules and policies.
