Job Description
The successful candidate for the Agronomist, Operations Manager must have the following:
- Identify Packhouses in the Western Cape region
- Purchase Apples, pears, Kiwi and negotiate prices
- Identify, contract with and supervise local farmers to source high quality fruits
- Ensure the shipping of packed fruits to other overseas markets.
- Work with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Manage and optimise logistics operations to ensure seamless supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to maintain product quality and delivery timelines.
- Monitor and analyse operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
