Responsibilities
- Assisting in preparing client bookkeeping and accounting records, payroll, financial statements, tax remittances, etc.
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Preparing various types of tax filings, HST, and other compliance returns
- Communicating accounting concepts to clients and answering their questions
- CRA correspondence, requests, and audits – ensuring work is easy to audit
- Preparing adjusting journal entries, working papers, assisting with T2 returns, and compilation engagement financial statements
Qualifications
- Completion of a diploma/certificate in Business Administration or Accounting
- 1-3 years of Accounting and Bookkeeping experience required
- Experience working in a professional services environment is an asset
- Keen attention to detail, time management, and organization are essential
