Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead operational and statutory accounting for our Japanese subsidiary. The role is responsible for ensuring that accounting records and statutory financial statements present a true and fair view of the financial position, in compliance with local laws and regulations and the Group Accounting Manual. The position is based in Tokyo, with hybrid work arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily accounting operations, overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese GAAP and group standards.
- Manage external audits and tax consultations.
- Establish internal control systems.
- Manage cash, payments, and receivables.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Lead the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Native Japanese language.
