ACADEMIC PROGRAM OFFICER (BAND LEVEL 9)

Responsibilities

The Academic Program Officer will work under the direction of the Department Head to provide academic program support for the department's undergraduate program. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the department head with the selection and scheduling of undergraduate courses; providing academic advice to the department's undergraduate students on subjects including major and minor admissions; processing various forms related to registration, prerequisite waivers, and change of grade forms; participating as a member of the Computer Science Undergraduate Studies Committee and the Faculty of Science Undergraduate Studies Committee, preparing formal calendar change documents and responding to intra-university consultations on calendar changes; participating in departmental tours, mini-enrichment courses, and other outreach activities; assisting with class audits (undergraduate and graduate); and performing other related duties as required.
