Job Description
Join St. Francis Xavier University as a Part-Time Academic Instructor. Teach on vital topics such as Canadian Immigration and The Sixties: A Social History during the upcoming academic terms.
This role will involve teaching multiple history courses in-person from September to April for the academic year. Applicants with a PhD in History and a track record of effective teaching are preferred. Online synchronous course proposals will be reviewed as well.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct HIST 314, HIST 355, HIST 322, and HIST 323
• Create engaging course content and materials
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Communicate effectively with students regarding progress
• Assess and provide feedback on assignments and exams
Requirements:
• Doctorate in History or relevant field preferred
• Proven teaching experience at the university level
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
