Job Description
Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing food and ingredients to be cooked in kettles of mixed in mixers.
**Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to**
+ Prepare and maintain efficient setup of the prep room
+ Understand kitchen needs for the day
+ Initiate and ensure all batches are accurate and signed off
+ Weigh prepped ingredients as needed
+ Open boxed ingredients and decant into pans
+ Ensure that equipment is returned to the dish room in an efficient manner
+ Understand and operate stick blenders in a safe manner
+ Inspect equipment after cleaning and before use to ensure that they are clean
+ Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards including food sanitation (GMP) guidelines
**Required Skills and Experience**
+ Be a team player, including the ability to communicate well with others
+ Basic reading comprehension
+ Basic math, weight, and measurement skills (pounds, ounces, etc.)
