Job Description

• Working 1:1 with a pupil with an EHCP, supporting them within the classroom and on a pastoral level.
• Daily management and supervision under the Head of Learning Support/SENDCo.
• Liaising with the SENDCo to complete formal documentation and paperwork regarding the pupil.
• Overseeing targets and plans relating to the pupil.
• Occasionally working with small groups in a flexible but supportive manner within class to help them remain motivated and access their learning.
• Delivering 1:1 targeted intervention in line with the student’s needs, as set by the SENDCo.
• Calming situations and providing a sympathetic ear to students, feeding concerns through the school’s pastoral and academic support structures.
• Awareness of the pupil’s medical needs and providing support where needed.
• Undertaking training related to the specific needs of the pupil.
